tire and alignment issues
When I first bought my ap2(two years ago with about 23k miles), It came with aftermarket rims called ti5 and the tires falken ziex ze-912. The fronts 18 x 7.5 42degree offset with 215 40zr 18 and the rears 18 x 8.5 40degree offset with 235 40zr 18. Upon buying the car the right rear tire was worn down considerably more than any of the others. I didnt really think much of it and just replaced the tire. Last November about 7k miles later, the left rear was in need of replacing, so again as a short term fix just replaced that tire. Now exactly 10k miles later the very same right rear tire is worn down as well as a narrow wear patch on the inside of the two fronts. I have been on maybe 5 semi aggressive trips in two years and other than that no aggressive driving. The car isnt a DD but gets driven usually 3 or 4 days a week and never in the winter. I havent had an alignment done on the car since I have owned it. Now that all of this has happened I realized I should have gotten that done before hand as there is clearly an alignment issue. So now at the position that I am in, I am replacing all four tires and am reconsidering tire sizes, brand, and possibly even going to a non staggered setup. The car is stock suspension, ride height etc. Im not sure on alignment numbers currently but any recommendations for alignment, tires, sizes or anything would be highly recommended. I just have no clear idea on what to do at this point so any and all opinions are sure to help!
All covered quite a bit in prior threads. If you don't know what alignment you want then get it stock unless you have a reason to do otherwise. Your OP doesn't such info so I'm not sure how you're expecting recommendations.
17,000 miles isn't bad for a max or extreme performance summer tire, not so hot for a 360 treadwear all-season...
For alignment, go with *minimum* spec toe all around for better handling and tire life. Camber: mid-range to max negative for handling. Camber not as big a deal on tire life as toe is.
Tire size recommendation: 215/40-18 front, 245/35-18 rear. If you're not tracking the car, no compelling reason to go non-staggered, particularly without supporting suspension mods.
tire recommendation depends on your wants/needs/usage. Try this: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/dg/MenuServlet?search=tdg

thanks for the tire rack link. As for alignment I do want a good handling car but not too aggressive that it is tough on tires. I live in the mountains and live on many beautiful roads that some friends and I go drive on about two or three times a month. I understand rear toe is what eats tires up and i think that whats happen to my current alignment.
