Default tire fitment

hey,
i am going to end up getting a set of slips 17x8.5 just because i dont want to wait to get my volks. Anyways how wide of a tire can i fit on 8.5 inch rims? also how wide can i put on an s2000? i am currently running 245's on my ap2 wheels with elisper springs. I want 275s but dont know if they will fit on the wheel and if they will fit the car. Please any info would be appreciated thanx alot peace

You need to post the offset of the wheels. The 275 tires will not fit on a 17X8.5 wheel.
