Default Tire Gauge Accuracy

Hey Jim, I was wondering...what do you recommend to be the most accurate tire pressure gauge that I can buy. I am getting all of these mixed pressures when I check my tires. I have used about 5 different gauges ranging from cheap Autozone crap all the way to Snap On and Mac Tools and all of them read different.

I've also been hoping to see a reply to the question. I've noticed the same thing with several different ones, and don't know which to trust. My Snap-On pressure gauge seems to read 4 psi higher than every other gauge I have. It can't be calibrated, so it sits in the toolbox, unused.

Thanks for the replies. That is exactly what my Snap-On Gauge is doing...nothing.

If you want to get snippy why should anyone help you. I would say use the average of your gauges to determine where your pressure is at and then go by the gauge that is closest to the average.

There have been a couple of test on dem internets, and a calibrated longacre or equivalent is the best, but at a high cost. The cheap digitals work fine as long as you just go for consistency.

I have never seen anything like that, its badass. But what if I don't have easy access to an air compressor. All I have is a little roadside tire inflator, is this going to make a difference.
