Default Tire help.....

Well, I want to replace my all-seasons to a summer tire. Currently, I have Kuhmo ASX's.... They suck I've been looking into MANY different tires and mainly sizes and contact patches. My rears are 17x9 +44, so I want to keep the 245 to keep from rubbing anymore.

My main question is, which 245 tires have the smallest contact patch? My rears are rolled, but not sure if I go to a different brand 245, if they'll rub or not. I've done some research on Tire Rack, but not all tires list a contact patch.

These are the ones I've been considering so far...

-Hankook Ventus R-S2
-Sumitomo HTR Z III

Any help, or other tire options would be great. I'm sticking to a budget and not looking for the BEST gripping tires. Just about any summer tire is going to be better than the all-seasons I have right now.

Thanks

-Pete

RS2's are a great tire for the price.

Depending on how low are you, a 255 is very do-able on a 9+44 since you are already rolled, but you will have to run some negative camber to clear.

A 245 on rolled fenders, will clear you night and day since there is a minimal stretch to the tire. Of course this depending on the brand

Thanks for the response

I'm lowered 1 inch and I do plan on running some more neg. camber. I just might consider 255's.
