tire profile for 18" staggered setup
hi
i'm after some help...
i have an AP1 S2000
what is the best tire profile to use for a normal street setup so that speedo, abs etc aren't put out:
front - 18x7.5" +48, 215/?/18
rear - 18x8.5" +50, 245/?/18
i was thinking 40 front and 35 rear as i have seen alot of S2000's with this setup.
however, would 45 front and 40 rear work aswell?
thanks

ok...
i think i am understanding this a bit more but can someone please confirm for me...
given that the recommended non-oem tires for a stock setup are:
front - 205/55/16
rear - 245/45/16 (equivalent to the stock 225's according to the sticky thread)
using:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
to minimise effects on speedo etc, i should be running:
front - 215/40/18 = speedo 0.4% too fast
rear - 245/35/18 = speedo 0.3% too slow
i hope these are ok for normal street use and that i don't dent the rims over pot / man holes...
