Default Tire PSI Chart

A long time ago one of the Guys at DIscount tire had a chart showing what the PSI should be based on Tire load and size.

Does anyone know if there is a chart like that online. I have been googling and unable to find one.

I am specifically curious on 255 vs 245 Bridgestones. One person I talked to said it should be 30 psi instead of 32 if I have 255's R17 rather that 245 R17

Thanks,

I believe Jim@Tirerack once posted that 32 psi is still 32 psi regardless of size. With that in mind, most people run a little over 32 psi. I have 255s out back and 225's up front and run them both ~34 psi.

The tire pressure is based of the vehicle and nothing else. You should stay close to the OE air pressure. For better handling you can go a few pounds more. For the race track and R compound tires it is a different story.
