i know i know, yall are probably thinking, again?? and i am sure this is a repost but since i am new to the s2000 world, there is no shame in asking quesitons, right?? anyway, what kind of tires is the best for overall driving ( dry, wet, autocross, daily driver ) on stock rims.. i have 2000 model. anyway, hope i get some feedback. i heard that the oem tires are the best, anything else isn't really designed for s2000, is that true?

There is no "best" tire for everything or everyone. You'll find many opinions here.
That said, the OEM S02 is one of the stickiest tires available to you, and the OEM version is specially sized for this car (rears are much wider than indicated by the nominal size rating). Some people think they're poor in the wet, but that's only a problem when they are old and/or worn.
A trip to the tire and wheel forum will answer many questions.

thcbrman,
I replaced S02's with Michelin Pilot Sports, and the loss of dry weather traction was quite noticable. I'll be going back to OEM. If you're an agressive driver like me it's a much better choice.

Falken Azenis Sport would be the best tire IMO but you have to go to 17 IN (no good for BS) to use the ones compatible with the S2000 both in speed rating and width.
On 16's they have a nice candidate for the front at 215 45 16 ZR but nothing wider than that for the rear.
If you want to use the stock 16 wheels your best bet is Honda specific SO-2's
