Default So What are the best tires??

Ok, i've read many of these threads, all of them seem to point to the oem bridgestone s02's. is that correct?

what about these.... toyo proxes (fz4), pirelli p7000, nitto nt-555, falken azenis, BFgoodrich g-force t/a kdw...my brother has the kuhmo 712's on his WRX, and they handle quite nicely with the AWD. so what IS the best tire? and as a rule of thumb, obviously stickier, grippier tire= faster wear.

In my opionion based on driving on just about everything on the market, the S03's are the best in the world for daily driving wet/dry and tracking once in a while....

Bridgestones are the best with Toyo a close second with Michelins IMO.

As most anything else...............there really is no BEST!

Its what fits you the best. More grip can be had by R compound tires. Though don't think about driving in the rain. Much aside from R's your really not going to find more grip than OEM.

If your going to a 17" or 18" tire then your OEM tire goes BYE BYE! I personally run a 17" tire and will be putting on the OEM S-02 made for the Boxster S. If you have 18" then same applies.

Though R compound tires in 17" and 18" are next to impossible to come by. Though some are out there.

Be more specific as to what your looking for.

the dunlop w-10 sports are the best by far.
I have had the toyo t1-s on my car before and they made too much noise and didn't hold at all. The dunlops held the road the best and stayed quiet. I have had pirelli's on once and was completely unsatisfied.

OMG no way...those Dunlop W-10 Sports were absolutely the worst POS tires I've ever used. I needed new tires on my Prelude in a hurry and my local mechanic put on a set of these useless slabs of rubber. Crap crap crap. As soon as I could, I went back to the stock Bridgestones that the lude came with.

i like the g-force t/a kd far better than the s-03 for dry grip. they are the best i've driven in the dry (better than the oem s-02 rubber) and driveable in the rain if YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL.

The W-10's - haven't driven them but looking at the specs and the tread pattern I have to agree - not that great.

Treadwear: 200 Traction: A Temperature: A Speed Rating: VR

Pinky is correct. There is no best tire only the tire that best suits your needs.
