Default Tire Rack, and where do you go?

I've had a previous bad experience mounting rear tires that I purchased from tire rack (long story short, I had perfect wheels and I even took the manager outside and made a VIDEO with him confirming that my wheels are indeed in perfect condition with no scratches or curb rash or any other damage, and he assured me they would come out perfect.

What do you know, they mount my tires and I have horrible rash all over both wheels with multiple deep gashes and scratches, they refused it and said it wasn't their fault, I show the video to mechanic and the manager and they have nothing to say.
Oh yeah this was at Tire Kingdom by the way, a recommended location by tire rack.

So where can I take my front wheels to avoid this drama? I heard my only option is a high performance tire mounting shop like for lambos/porsches/ 22's etc, but the nearest one is 60 miles away.

What place do you recommend?

Might help to mention what city you're in.

The only shop I take my S to (including mounting new tires and precision alignments) is 24 miles away. A good shop is easily worth the round trip even if extended to 60 miles or more IMO. I'm certainly not the farthest client of this shop in the Houston area.

You should really ask in your regional subforum. High performance doesn't always mean good.

Unfortunately that can happen anywhere. You did the right thing by having them look at the wheels beforehand. That way there is no questions about who did what. We do have a list on our web site as well. With a zip code I can check to see who is the best in the area.

I manage a repair/tire shop and I can attest that you are only as good as the people you have employed for you. Anyone can make a mistake its how you pick up the pieces after it happens.

UpdatE:

all the places I spoke too from tire rack's website wouldn't guarantee "no scratches from mounting",

My solution; a friend of mines 350z on te37's recommended me a shady mexican guy that spoke 0 english, I was unsure first since I took a gravel road to the tire place but he vouched for him and said he mounted his volks with 0 scratches.

So I took it to him, he mounted and balanced all of my tires for $30 with NO scratches or dents or anything, I was so happy that I tipped him, and it still came out cheaper

compared to one of the chain places listed...

The point of this story: find someone with really expensive rims and ask them where they have their tires mounted and balanced.
