Default Tire/Rim fitment

Quick questions will a 245 width tire fit on a x7.0 rim... Is that pushing it? I also have a set up on my S....225/45/17 Front 245/40/17 Back.... Is that the right series for that set up?

245 is technically too wide for a 7" wheel. You can stuff it on there, but you'll get a crowned tread face resulting in uneven wear and less grip. You typically need a 8" to 8.5" wide wheel for a 245 tire. On the AP1 wheels we sometimes use a 245 on the 7.5" wheel and this is already pushing it.

225/45 and 245/40 is fine for 17"... as long as you have a wide enough wheel in the rear.

Thanks for the comment spa-zz...Well thats what I have it looks pretty flushed Iam supprized that the FIRESTONE recommended these messurements on a 7 width rim....Also the series are correct I guess I thought I would just keep the front 40 and the back 40 series But it makes sense....

Don't be surprised. If it can be jammed on there, most tire shops will "recommend" it in order to make a sale. If it'll roll outa there, they'll sell it to you. But the S2000 is a bit of a special animal because of it's requirement for very high wheel offsets as well as a stagger.

I'd keep a close eye on your rear tire wear at least.

Cheers.

Paying for an alignment does that fix the camber at all? I have a 2 inch drop...
