Default Tire selection for 17x9 +45 rpf1 STAR SPEC ZIII

whats up guys looking for some good info so I’ve come to the right place. I’m getting new bronze rpf1’s for my Suzuka ap1. I’m looking for good fitment all around I will be going star spec ziii’s to be released March 16th confirmed by tire rack. My question is for the front with slightly rolled fenders do I go 225/45 or 235/40. I will be on a 245/40 rear. I’m really not looking to do any pulling. If any one can shine some light or any pics Thank you in advance! I would like set up to be somewhat similar in tire diameter as far as appearance.

Bronze?

Eek.

I'd go 225 if you're afraid of pulling.

Sincerely,

Guy with 255/40 up front on 17x9 +45

235/40 are significantly (0.6") shorter than 225/45, might not be much if any worse for clearance, might have more clearance at a given ride height.
I'd probably go with the 235/40, but I'd rather have +50 or more offset...

Lol bronze I think looks alright with the Suzuka but each his own but thanks for the input and I was torn between black which makes the car dull out but again Suzuka is a PITA color

I agree Dan about what your saying I’m just note sure what would work better but I do think I might go with the 235 as it’s wider at 200+ $ a tire I definitely wanna try and get this right the first time

What ride height are you planning?

Must also consider tire height.

235/40 = 24.4"
245/40 = 24.7"
225/40 = 25.0"

You don't need to pull to clear the wider 255/40, you need a proper roll and greater than ~2* camber. I found the rear more annoying to get to not rub.

245 or 255 all around. Fronts need a pull unless you run more camber like Chibo said. Relocating the rear tabs and rolling the fenders flat will stop the rear from rubbing.

Depends on what his ride height and camber will be is if he is going to need a pull or not on either a 245 or 255. 225 or 235 would be my suggestion if you want to shy away from the pulled look. 225 if you want to be consistent in sidewall height to the rear 255. But 235 with the shorter sidewall in my opinion looks good to. Your brake bias will move forward slightly with the 235, which is more stable at speed.

I'm running -2.4* of camber up front.

With 255/40/17 RT615K+ on 17x9 +45 RGIII.

I needed a pull.

It is subtle, but definitely there.
