Default Tire Size For a 17x9.5 +40 TE37 Wheel

Hi all,

I looked through past forums for information regarding this and I guess this post is to just confirm my findings with you all and to get a final opinion. It looks like the best way I could try to fit the 17x9.5 +40 Evasive Spec TE37 is to either get a 245/40 up front and a 255/40 in the rear. Both front and rear fenders will be rolled with the rear fenders having a bumper tab relocation. The other option is to just get 255/40 all around and I remember seeing somewhere that doing that might help with clearance, is this true or am I mistaken? All four tires will have a -3 camber all around regardless of the tire size I choose.

Some additional information: I am planning to be lowered on Koni Yellows and Swift Spec R springs.

SO, my question is, if I decide to get 245/40 and 255/40 with -3 camber, would that be a good setup for the 17x9.5 +40 wheels? I apologize if this has already been asked but I tried my best to do some research before I posted on here. Thank you!

I’d personally run a 245/40 all around with that. MAYBE offset bushings up front too.

245/40 all around

What color did you get? Can't decide what I want.

I got the formula silver! I'm super excited for it to come in. Also, both of you have said to get 245's but I was just wondering what's the benefit of doing that is over 255? I thought a staggered setup would be better because it came from the factory with a staggered setup.

Perfect. Thank you!! What's the benefit of getting a 245 all around instead of 245 upfront and a 255 in the rear?

Personally I prefer the aesthetic of the same sidewall shape all around, rather than the rear being squarer than the fronts.

Also, it will make rear fitment a little more comfortable.

Makes sense. Really appreciate your input in all of this. I'm gonna do some more research into 245 vs 255's before pulling the trigger on tire purchases. I like the idea of a 245 at the moment just for fitment purposes.

I'd be concerned with front fitment even with a 245. Offset bushings will make a huge difference in both clearance and aesthetics. IMO, the biggest issue visually with non-staggered wheels is the front sticks out further than the rear compared to stock and this is even more exaggerated on an aggressive fitment like this. I run a 245/255 setup on 9.5" +50 and still occasionally rub in front under extreme conditions.
