Default Tire size Help

Hey, looking for some help for my new setup. Im running 17x 7 + 48 front, and 17x8 +45 rear with 225/45 and 245/40 tires. i recently got my rear fenders rolled, and my front tabs pulled. I have approximately 1 finger gap all the way around lowered on neuspeed springs. The setup im looking at is 18x8.5 +48 square. My question is what size tires should i be looking at? i just want it to fill the wheel gap without having to run crazy camber or have any rubbing. I dont track or autoX my car just daily, sometimes spirited driving. Thanks for your help!

That is a fairly centralized fitment, as well as rim width so there are several different combos you could go with without too much trouble. Assuming the front and rear fenders are rolled and rear bumper tab relocated. You could do a 225/255. 235/255. 245/255 245/245 combo. The rear camber with these combinations should be fine at about -2. The front about the same, or a tad more if you do the 245. If it were me id go with the 235/255 on ap1 or 245/255 if ap2.

Just fyi, if they make a 9 -9.5 in the same +48 I would run that out back with the 255 and keep the 8.5 up front. You have the room and it would make the 255 perform a bit better being less pinched on the rim. If not, the 8.5 will still be fine.

ok, thanks for the information! I'm leaning kind of towards a 225f and 245r just for safety sake of rubbing, cause my fronts aren't rolled that much and my rear tabs aren't relocated. do you think a 35 sidewall would look to puny? what do you think i should go with on sidewall height?

The issue with a 35 sidewall is it is much shorter than the OEM rolling radius and could throw off your speedo. With only having a 7 inch wide wheel up front and only an 8 inch wide in the rear I would do 215/45/17 front and 245/40/17 in the rear.

He is looking at 18's. I would consider 225/40, 255/35 to be ideal. The issue with a 225/245 setup is there is no way to even out the diameter, you will either have a slightly larger front tire or rear tire. Relocate those rear tabs and call it a day.

Oh sorry I misread that. For the 18's a 35 series tire is correct for 245 or 255.

But if you are wanting to go with a square set up why stagger the tires? You are kind of defeating the purpose of the square set up.

Agreed. I ended up picking up something else. Some MB battles in 18x8 +43 square, and ran 225/40/18 all around. Really happy with the outcome, and the fit is good. Im getting an alignment tomorrow, and I should be rub free! Heres a quick shot.
