tire size help on new wheels

i just got some work emotions and i need to know if i can fit 255 on the rear and 215 in the front? thank you

Without width and offset on those rims, who can really say?

sorry... 17 x 8 in the rear 17x7 front +47 offset on both

That's a fairly low offset but have been known to work OK. You should go down to a 245 in the rear, maybe even 235. 215 front is OK. This would be the same width tires as OEM (245 and 215).
Oh, and if the car is lowered, then these may not work, either.

thank you. i got 245 stick out a little but overall look ok. the car is not lowered.
