Default tire size and over/understeer

I have a question please bear with me if the answer is obvious. On an ap2 with stock wheels, if you increase the tire size to 225/255 shouldn't the oversteer/understeer relationship remain the same as stock because the ratio of front contact patch size to rear is unchanged, they are just both increased equally.

You are correct. There are certain tires though that will work better with 215/45R17 and 255/40R17. One I know of is the RE-01R.
If I can help let me know.

I was looking at the tire rack site and i realized that the treadwidth does not necessarily increase directly in proportion to the tire size and kinda answered my own question. But I am seriously considering the re-01r for my next tire in 225/255 why is 215/255 better in you opinion. I am also considering the advan neova have you driven both, can you compare them.
