Default Tire size recommendation

Car has front downforce fenders (I think its +20mm clearance) and rear ASM overfenders (not sure how much more clearance it gives but assume at least +20mm as well)

Wheels ordered - Prodrive GC07C
Fronts : 17x8.5 +44
Rears : 17x9.5 +36

What tire size would you recommend for these? I tend to think 225/45/17 fronts and 255/40/17 rears. Or should I go with even wider? Any guidance greatly appreciated!

I don’t think you even need overs/wide fenders for these.

Fenders already there, used to be square setup with 9.5 on all corners for tracking.

Main question what tire size would properly fit not since I do not track the car anymore, that would look good on the wheels I posted (not stretching or being too bulky) and also look good on the car considering fenders.

One of the reasons I ask, current street wheels are very conservative considering fenders.
Currently they are:
17 x 7.5J +44 with 215/45/17
17 x 8.5J +54 with 245/40/17
and they look weird.

The issue is there isn’t really many options for wider than 255 for 17 inch wheels. I do agree those are still going to be fairly conservative with the fender setup. Downforce fronts are +30 and asm rears are +25. What wheels are you looking at? You could easily go with either wider wheels or a lower offset. I have the same setup with 17x9 +42 in front with a 245/40/17 and 17x10 +35 with a 255/40/17 and still have some room. I’ve run the 17x10 setup square but prefer the staggered setup.

Wow, interesting.

As I said I got Prodrive GC07C
Fronts : 17x8.5 +44
Rears : 17x9.5 +36

so its half an inch narrower wheel otherwise virtually same spec. @Manga_Spawn thanks, very good info!
