Tire Test question...
Jim,
I am about ready for a new set of rubber and I am looking at the Yoko ES100's as an all-around good tire. I will be using 205/55 front and 245/45 rear by the way.
On to my question. I have been told and read numerous posts hinting that I will be dissappointed with the performance vs. the S02's and even the Yoko AVS sport. The question is that the test numbers for the AVS sport and ES 100 are nearly identical with the ES 100 performing better in some catagories. Why is this if the sport is supposed to be a higher "class" tire?

If you are looking for similar performance you will be disappointed in the ES100. It is an entry level perfromance for Yokohama and a step below the AVS Spot. The numbers you are referring to is not a test but a customer survey. If you are looking for better performance the AVS Sport or the S02 is far superior with the ES100 giving better price and longer wear.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
