Default Tire Too Big

Are these tires too big?

225/45/17 Front
265/40/17 Rear

I will be running them on a 17 by 8 in front and 17 by 10 in rear.

Are you referring to width or diameter? The rear tire diameter is bigger than stock but there is nothing you can do about that if you want to run anything wider than 255. Something like a 275/35 would be perfect but there is no such thing.

Offset for front is going to be +40 and rear is going to be between +45 and +50, haven't decided yet.

I would probably stay at 255 if I were you, there will be a slight stretch, but at that offset it's probably your best bet

They are going to rub with a 50 offset rear and probably on the front as well. There are very few tires made in a 265/40R17 size. With those wheels I would go with 225/45R17 and 255/40R17. You are still going to need to roll the fenders and run more negative camber.
