Tires
HI I am looking into getting a new set of rear tires for my 2002 S2000. I am looking at the Bridgestone Potenza 225/50R16 92H. I am not a racer but I do like to move along. What do the rest of you think?
1. There is a wheel/tire section below.
2. Stock tire sizes are different front/rear.
3. There are 27 different tires that Bridgestone calls "Potenza".
4. (This should be #1, actually) What do you WANT and NEED from a set of tires? Dry grip? Wet/Dry grip? Any possibility you will have to drive on snow? Do you want grip or do you want tire life? How much do you want to spend?
You could just go here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/dg/MenuServlet?search=tdg

Hey,
Like ZDan said, the most important thing is what you are looking for. I drive my car year round so I throw snow tires on in the winter (Blizzak WS60's) and summer tires on the rest of the year.
I autox and usually drive around in a fairly belligerent fashion so I opted for grip over tire life. I went with the Potenza RE01R's and they are awesome. They have great grip for both dry and wet weather.
The only problem I have run into so far (and I've only had them for about 500 miles) was ordering them through tire rack. They are rated for a speed of 149mph but the stock tires are rated to go up to 168mph so I had to tell customer support it was ok and just send them to me. Also, you have to search for them by size;
Front: 205/55-16
Rear: 225/50-16
Happy driving!
Mike
