Default Tires and alignment

Simple Question:

I am in bad need of new front tires but I also need to get an alignment. Which one should I do first?

Thank you.

a bad alignment will wear your tires out at a more rapid rate and unevenly. I would replace your tires first and have your car realigned to maximize the life of your tires and the handling characteristics of your car.

Have your alignment shop look at your tires before you replace them. Put the new tires on, then get the alignment.
