Default Tires-Bridgestone Pole Position Re960

Hello,

My S02's are ready for replacement and I'm wavering between Re050's and 960's. The car is in Winter storage and driven in +40 degeree weather around town. Autocross 1-2 x year. Should I go for the 960's? Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

i had them and they're really excellent for driving in inclement weather. in rain and freezing temperatures it's hard to break them loose without really trying. but in the hot summer weather you can tell that you're not handling as well as you could be with summers. so i switched to Potenza RE-01Rs and i plan to just keep calm in the cold. the RE-01Rs actually perform very surprisingly well in the wet. in the cold you still need to be extra cautious, though.

Just what I had feared, the 960's strengths manifest itself as a weakness when it counts hot and dry. Thanks for the tip!

Replacing the S02 with RE-01R is the best move to make. Check out Tire Rack's comparos to see how much better the 01Rs are than anything else BS currently makes. Of course, this would be summer stuff I am talking about, but is does get high hydro plane resistance and wet ratings in addition ot the dry rating.

They are quite comfy too!
