Default Tires facing the right direction?

I just bought my car about 5000 miles ago, and I was wondering, how would I know if my tires are facing the right direction? I think the previous owner may have swapped the tires side to side. Any suggestions?

Thanks

on the outside of the tire, there will be arrows pointing the direction of rotation while moving forward.

Some tires are not directional and can roll either way. The arrows will tell you if that is the case.

Thanks.

I must have missed that rotation arrow when i checked the last time. Checked again and found that the wheels are indeed facing the wrong direction.

rotation only really matters in the rain. in the dry shouldn't be that big of a deal.
