Plastic center caps are not uncommon at all across many wheel makes and models... many wheels use plastic tabs to hold the cap on. Even the OEM wheels.
I've also melted the tabs on a set of center caps and had them fall off during an HPDE. Live and learn.

Mac, I don't even use the hubcentric rings. As long as you you tighten the wheel studs evenly, you wont have any issues. I have yet to have any.
As far as the center caps, I threw them away, didn't like the looks of them to begin with.

The caps don't bother me too much, but I do wish they were flat.
One of my wheels wasn't straight, it had a bit of a bobble in it and it needed quite a bit of weight compared to the others. I'll probably call Monday and ask if this is considered normal or if they should all be straight.

I had that issue when I intalled used tires onto the wheels, but once i went with new tires, they were all balanced within an ounce. I take it it was one of the wheels that you mounted used tire on?

Does anyone else notice these rims make the car feel slower? I don't know how much acually slower, but after taking off stock AP1 rims and Ecsta tires(205 front, 255 rear) my butt dyno is telling me i'm not going as fast. Granted, around the go-kart track in saint lawrence the car is 1.5 seconds faster than it was without 255 star specs all around. And i think the gas mileage is taking a hit. I love the way they look and love the way the car goes around corners, but in a straight line its just not moving like it used to. Does anyone else notice this?
