Default Trying to find the perfect wheel/tire setup

Alright so I've searched high and low, and I haven't found an article about this. I have an Ap1 and I'm looking to get some new wheels after the winter (something light, less than 18lbs or so). Now, I'm looking for the best size wheels/tires that give the maximum amount of grip. These wheels will only be for the summer and this is my dd, which I will take for some autocross.

Thanks for your input.

Probably the best wheels for those that want to have the largest contact patch possible with the S.

As far as I know those are sold out and there is no word of them being produced again. If you can find a set for sale used than these would be your best bet.
The tsw nurburings 17x9 +63 are becoming very popular because of their price and ability to run larger width tires. They are around 18-19 lbs plus they fit most bbks

The width only matters to an extent. Tire compound plays a huge role. I recommend going with Dunlop star specs or hankook rs-3. I run star specs and love them.

If you autoX and want to stay in the stock class, you are restricted to OEM size wheels. Anything else will put you in STR or BSP depending on the tires.

It would be nice to stay in the stock class. But I can't seem to find any wheels that are the stock size. Any suggestions?

you're not going to be competitive in stock class without running slicks, so I wouldn't worry about it.

So I've been looking and I think I'm gonna get Enkei RPF1's. I want a 17 inch rim but I'm not sure which width is best and what tire size, for max grip. Suggestions?

I just liked the style. Why, are the PF01s better? They seem to weight about the same.
