Default Two questions.

Hey everyone. my first question(I'm sorry if i sound like a noob) say you got a tire, one size being 205. and then the same exact tire just in 225 (argument sake) the wider tire would have more grip right?

with that outta the way, here's my second question. I have stock suspension setup not dropped at all and with stock rims. can i fit 235's in the front, and 265's in the back? (sorry thats so general, i just don't know what the other specs would have to be. like this is what i know lmao: 235/??/17 265/??/17[and if you'd be so kind to fill in them question marks please ] ) Now, I'm pretty confident they would fit on the stock rim, my only question is if they would rub. now, if say the fronts would rub, but only a tiny bit like when the wheel is almost completely turned, i wouldn't mind it to much, i just wont turn it all the way and make a 3-point turn if i gotta

so i looked under the car, and it seems to me like there would be room for them tire choices i stated..def no where near sticking out past the fenders, and it seems like it would be ok on the insides as well. the rear looked like it def had enough clearance. the front i couldn't really tell ...now please put me in my place if I'm wrong about anything or just sound stupid.

thanks every one

-dan

The ??'s would be 40 and 35 if you want to keep the stock diameter. Problem is, there aren't really any tires available in those sizes. The most common size upgrade on AP2 wheels is 225/45, 255/40.

Just putting wider rubber on narrow rims is not the best answer. The rims need to be wider to get all the contact patch on the road and also to keep the sidewalls out where they need to be.

So, I wouldn't run a 235 on a 7" rim. An 8" is pretty much the minimum.
