Default Which Tyres to choose?

Hi all,

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place, but i'm new to this forum and just wanted some advice on tyre choice.

It seems its quite a hot topic, with varying oppinion. The S2 i have just bough (05 plate GT) comes with Potenza's on a s factory fit, and my rears need replacing soon. I've read some 'interesting' reports about the Potenza's lack of ability in the wet?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good all round use tyre for the rears and an iea of the price i should be paying for them?

Also do you know of any local meets that might be available near me in manchester?

Many Thanks Guys,

Heysy

"Potenza" is a line of tires. It would help to know which ones you have specifically (RE050, etc).

RE050's are fine in the wet is there is sufficient tread. Most people have other concerns when replaing tires. Cost, dry performance expectations, treadlife, ride comfort, noise comfort, wet performance, looks, etc.

You'll probably get better feedback if you describe how, where and what conditions you drive. Plus budget. And if you're UK, you might have different tire choices than US.

To make a better recommendation like rioyellows2k list we would need some more information. If I can help let me know.
