Default Unrecommended Offset - Is there hope?

Hey all,

So, before you yell at me for the wheel sizes I got, let me defend myself by saying I didn't really know much about forums and guides and whatnot, so my research was limited to my friend's recommendations (non s2k owning friends haha).

So, I bought a set of MB Battles 18x9.5 +23 and running 215/40/18s. As you may have guessed, they're HUGE and don't fit well. My fenders are not yet rolled/pulled.

I just need some advice; after rolling and pulling, is there hope to make these fit better? Or are they just too wide and too low of an offset?
I should also mention that my car is bagged, which helps, but when I'm aired up to drive height, the fronts poke out like 3 inches hah.

Anyway, give me your input or tell me I messed up and should sell the wheels. Thanks!

Sell the wheels. A good fitting set of wheels without worrying about fender damage is 17x7.5 with offsets in the +50's for the front and a 17x9 +63 in the rear (but even then if you want to go super low may require a roll). A common size that fits with roll and pull is 17x9 +45 all around. A 17x9 +45 will sit over an inch more inside the fender than what you have now, and the 17x9 +63 nearly 2 inches more inside the fender. Of course this is all with a proper size tire for the width of the wheel.

Sell the wheels and go to Tire Rack for a set of wheels and tires that will fit.

Nope. They aren't huge either. You can fit 9.5 wide wheels but you need a much lower offset. Further 215's all around is just terrible.

Lol just read about the car being bagged. Whatever do whatever you want. Rolling your fenders will at least help not damage your car. It won't stop the handling being completely.

no, no hope for these. don't buy another set of MB brand wheels for the next set either. there's a wealth of knowledge on this board, use it!

You messed up.
But since you are on air you may be attempting the look more designated for no car,....well maybe the show car scene parking lot goers. Do you have camber joints up front at least? You MUST get the fenders rolled and flared and rear bumper tab relocated to continue making these at least somewhat functional

Wide body.
Get a set of wider front fenders.
Get a set of rear over fenders then get wider tires for the rears.
