Default Volk Gt-7

yo i have a set of volk gt-7s.

I'm wondering, should i get the wheels completely chromed $250.00 a wheel, or get the centers fully polished (like the lips) for $200.00 a wheel. Obviously it's not an insane price difference...

what im curious about is like the maintenance needed on polished vs. chrome?

the car is my daily driver.

thanks.

Polished is high maintenance (unless you have them cleared a few times), chrome is heavy. Pick your poison. I have given up on my lips on my Works.

yeah, my lips now are a PITA. I have to polish them quite often, especially if it rains. i like how they look, but the maintenance sucked. I had some oem chromies, when i bought my S, and they were real low maintenance, and always shined.

Did you seal them in with Synthetic after polishing sessions?

I havn't polished my lips since they were redone last year - they weren't cleared after they were redone so they are spotted. I am looking at just having my entire car hardcore detailed in which the wheels would be addressed.

I used a polish on my lips, it turns the lips dull, to bling, but it definitely takes a long time doing it by hand.

I'll probably go the chrome route due to maintenance

the odds of that are very slim if you go through a reputable shop.
