Default Volks installed, now front rubbing?

On my way home after getting my new 17" Volk CE28N wheels I hit a few normal bumps in the road, nothing major, and was hearing a scraping sound coming from the front driver side tire/wheel well. My first guess is that I am rubbing on my inner fender so I took it easy the rest of the way. When I got home I checked underneath and didn't notice any damage at all. Im thinking that I will need to get in for a another alignment, and adjust to a more aggressive camber in the front?

Im lowered on Buddy Club Race Spec coilovers and had an alignment done with my old previous set up 225/45/16" fronts, and 245/40/16" rears on OEM 16" wheels. I've got a 1 finger gap all around so it's not slammed, but low enough. I shoul also mention when I had my alignment done I asked to get as close to stock as possible on the 16" set up.

Current set up is 17x7.5 +50 Fronts 17x9 +63 Rears w/225-45-17 on front, and 255-40-17 rears.

Any thoughts as to why this might be happening?

I just relocated my inner fender liner and modified it slightly. No more rubbing.

BTW....what kind of tires are you running....I have found that I would rub in extreme circumstances with my s-03, but not with the new Dunlop Direzzas in the same size.

I'm running F18x8 +45, R18x9 +55, OZ superleggara, Espelir springs.

I was told that the front offset would be ideal, and close to that of stock. I went this route being told that I would not have the rubbing issue running a 225 tire.

Im running the Falken Azenis RT-615's 225 in the front, and 255 in the rear. What exactly did you do to relocate the inner fender liner? Like I said she rubs, but not much by the looks of it.

Thanks.

Looking at the wheel fitment guide, you should be running a 215 tire up front.

Thanks man Forgot about that chart. Looks like I could have gone either way, 215 or 225. The rubbing isn't that bad, but enough to bug me and keep me worried. Im going back to the aligment shop tomorrow and will have them adjust the front with a more aggressive camber. Hopefully it will fix some the rubbing issue.

Actually, I interpret the guide as saying that you can run a 225 tire with that rim up front. However, one must distinguish between a stock ride height and a lowered ride height. That guide was meant as a reference for stock ride height. When lowered, those numbers have to be taken with a grain of salt.
It is commonly known that those Volks with the typical 225/255 tire set-up is fine on a stock ride height EXCEPT when making a hard, right turn, when the weight of the driver compounds the suspension compression will rub the plastic fastener at the top of the left front wheel well opening. I am not surprised that you rub once lowered and encountering bumps when you aligned it based on the tire/rim set-up of the 16" rims. The front OEM rims are only 6.5" wide, while your Volks are 7.5" wide and 5 mm offset less. This contributes to the overall package sticking out just enough to create the problem you current experience.

Great feedback, thanks So in your opinion do you think a more aggressive camber adjustment in the front would help me, or am i wasting my time/money?

I'd rather not stick my neck out and say one way or the other. I'll leave that to someone who has your exact set-up. An increase in camber has been known to resolve rubbing issues with the back end, but I'm not sure about the front end. If you have a suspension that is adjustable, is it possible to make the front end a bit stiffer? Harder compression?
