Default Vors tr4

Hello all,

just picked up an ap1. Found the wheels whom I love. Vors tr4

17x8 +35
17x9 +30

before people tell ,offsets are super aggressive and low. ,my front fends are siebon +10mm on each side. So theoretically it’s like 17x8 +45. And as I’ve read lots of people are running 17x9+45 with fender mods so I should be okay? I’m not expert hence me wanting so additional input. Not many people have those aftermarket fenders so info is limited. The rears I plan on getting shaved so they should also fit.

Second major question is tires. Sounds like what I’ve read 255 is too square and won’t fit and I should run 225/40/17 and 245/45/17? Any additional input would help. I’m dropped currently with minimal finger gap but am not opposed to raising. Just want to make sure front and rear have same rolling diameter ish. Thanks

You should be able to get away with 215/45 up front and 245/40 in the back.

Those 17x9 +30 are effectively more aggressive than my 17x10 +45 and will stretch any potential tire less, making them harder to fit.

You’ll have to do a pretty aggressive roll and run a fair amount of negative camber.

I wouldn’t run a 225 on an 8” wheel if you’re going to have a 245 on the 9” rears, the profile of the sidewalls will look weird. 215/245 with 8/9 should have similar (extremely minimal) amounts of stretch.

also those wheels are low quality knockoffs of Work Emotion CR Kiwami. Look into the sizes they offer, there maybe something that fits the car better.

ps - fiberglass front fenders may offer more theoretical width but they’re more prone to cracking/‘exploding’ than a well rolled/pulled metal fender.

Thanks man. I really appreciate the advice. 215 makes more sense. It’s tough because everybody rolls their fenders but you can’t roll carbon fiber (pre installed when I bought the car) so there are only like 3 threads with info applicable to me.

I hear ya on the quality. Especially for wheels.

I see a lot of people with 17x9 +45 so that additional 15mm (0.59inches) to get me to the 30 offset i thought could be combated with shaving the fenders. Not crazy about running negative camber.

thanks again brother! I’ll try and find other wheels with friendlier offsets of better quality

If there is any lip on the carbon fender you can trim that with a dremmel. Try and get it as flat as possible. Like Cody said the rear is pretty aggressive to the point it may not be advisable. These are just replicas of these work wheels which do come in better offsets though they cost more.

215/45F-245/40R is the 17" OEM size and obviously keeps the APS sensors happy. Likewise neither 215/45F-255/40R (CR size) nor 225/45F-255/40R upset either APS or VSA . Both these are popular tire sizes on OEM wheels and require no modifications to the car whatsoever. Your fitment will vary but APS or VSA is not a concern. You don't have VSA but it's a concern of those with late cars.
