A lot more is made out of a few tenths difference in TREAD width or contact patch width (the two aren't the same btw!) than I've experienced on the street or track.

The most important thing is to get the best tires for your intended usage, don't worry so much about published "tread width" numbers.

For the AP2 wheels, either 215/45-17 or 225/45-17 fronts (preferaby only w/ 255 rears), and 245/40-17 or 255/40-17 rears.

Personally, I wouldn't run 225/45 fronts with 245/40 rears, and there isn't a 215 size in the tires you want (RE050A PP). RE050A PP's, 225/45 F, 255/40 R would be my #1 street tire preference, cost no object. With cost an object, I'd go with Hankook RS2's in stock sizes.
