Wear on inside of tires?
I replaced my rear tires as they were looking worn at 12k miles. My front tires look fine on the outside & middle but are worn on the inside. Do I have an alignment or setup problem that my dealer can fix or should I also expect my front tires to be gone at 12k miles?
I just replaced my rear tires at 12K but my fronts still had some tread on them but I could definitly tell that the insides where alot more worn that the outside/middle. I think it's normal and it varies on how hard you drive the car. I didn't drive mine very hard till I took it out on the track at about 13K now I'm at 15K and looked at my fronts again and I will need to replace them very, very soon.
I'm no expert on this, but my assumption is it's normal.

You might want to check your front tire pressure. I was running a few pounds low when I first got the car and noticed the "inside tread wear" you are talking about. With proper inflation I haven't seen the issue reappear.
Not sure if this was the cause, but it seemed to make sense at the time.

I have the same problem! Insides are down to the wear indicators on the inside front, hopefully from spirited driving and a few auto-x's. Outside has a lot of tread wear left. I have 14,000 miles on the car. I replaced the rears at 11,000 with OEM S02's and they have some good wear left. OEM S02's are great but wear too damn fast. I was considering some Kumho 712's for street use. Would it be OK to just replace the fronts with some Kumho 712s and keep the rears till they wear out? Should I go 205/55-16 or 225/55-16? I have a Spoon x-brace and Spoon strut tower brace. Should I go with the 225's because of the stiffer front and I'm using less sticky tires?
