Has anyone actually weighed the front and rear rims of the 04? I would use the stock 17's for racing wheels if they are 15 lbs or under and order custom 16 inch wheels for the street. I did weigh the front wheel with a new RE050 on it and it weighed exactly 40 pounds, good grief!

Without the tires Honda North America has quoted me 17lbs for the 04 wheels. I asked if that was front or rear and they said both. Hmmmmmm...

Thanks Ajjra. That answer does not engender a lot of confidence, although the extra 1.5 inch width is in essence just a 1.5 inch wide ring of 1/8th or 3/16th inch aluminum. That makes the 215/40-17 RE050 weigh 23 pounds, which seems light to me. Has anybody weighed a 215/40-17 RE050?
