Difference between 04 wheels and pre-04?

Default Difference between 04 wheels and pre-04?

Just tryin to find out if there is a difference between the 04 wheel and pre-04 wheels in weight, dimeter or anything at all. thanks.

Pre-'04 rims were 16" all around, with them being 6.5" wide in front and 7.5" rear.
'04 rims went to 17" all around and they have a different spoke design and pattern (don't know the widths, but they'll be staggered just like the 16s). I don't know the weights of any of them, but I'm sure if you "search", you'll find both pictures and weights.

I was more tryin to find out if i should buy the pre-04 wheels and put race tires on em or keep the 04 17's and slap some tires on them.

ps. You should state exactly what you want to know and why you want to know it in the original post so people will know how to respond. If you had done this, I would have moved it to the proper forum where people in the know can answer it best for you.

The extra width on the 04 wheels are more significant at the track then the slight increase in weight. The 17s are surprisingly light for OE wheels.
