Default What's the contact patch difference between OEM S02's, Yok A032R's and Toyo RA1's?

I'm mostly interested in the rears, but I'm curious about the fronts too. Rims are 16". What's the contact patch measurement differences between the three tires in the following sizes?

Front: 205 & 225
Rear: 225 & 245

Thanx!

I don't know anything about the Yoko's, but my personal experience with the Toyo vs. S02's is here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=98375

Bottom line on Bridgestone to Toyo tread patches:
Bridgestone 205/55/16's Tread patch 7.1 inches (stock fronts)
Bridgestone 225/50/16's Tread patch 8.5 inches (stock rears)
Toyo 205/55/16's Tread patch 7.5 inches (fronts)
Toyo 225/50/16's Tread patch 8.5 inches (rears)
Toyo 245/45/16's Tread patch 9.8 inches (rears)

Edited 4/11/03. Hopefully this makes more sense now, thanks for the PM Monkeymaker.

The OE tires are 7.1 front and 8.5 rear.
The A032R is 8.3 front and 9.4 rear.

I don't carry the Toyo.

I quoted 205/55R16 front and 245/45R16 rear.

I was curious why the H and S compound in the A032R is not an option in all sizes? Also, I thought the S stood for the silica compound found in new tires like the AVS ES100? Which btw I love...Can you please clear this up for me?

That's an interesting question. I haven't heard of such an option. What's the scoop Jim?

Its a nische availability. Yokohama addressing what sizes are used on certain vehcles, and producing for the most common application. S in this case is Soft, designed for lighter vehcles.

We are starting to get some of the S or soft compound tires in at this time.
