Well I mean it sounds like you have already made the wheels "fit" and given the 255's would be the right diameter I think they may fit better. The only thing is if the tread width is a little wider it could cause issues since it could be more square compare to your current tires. This is one of those cases where your way outside of the normal specs but you have also gone way further than most in modding your fenders.

So I have +55 wheels for the rear set up. I know I need 265’s, but what about the middle number that determines the height+width? Where do I find this information? Thank you

I think you mean 255's for the rear. Unless you have a 10 inch or wider wheels 265's aren't needed and the size isn't ideal as the sidewall height will either be to tall or to short compared to the stock rolling diameter. For 255's you want 255/40/17 for 17 inch wheels or 255/35/18 for 18 inch wheels.

The post on the first page says that if your rear wheels are +55-59 offset, that the recommended size is 265?

Wow you are right. I removed those tire sizes because they are actually really horrible recommendations across the board.

Your wheels are 8.5 inches wide right for the rears? You should stick with either the OEM tires sizes (245/40/17 rear) or you could use the CR tire sizing of 255/40/17 rear. There is no reason to run anything wider on an 8.5 inch wheel since a 255 is already a little pinched on that width. For reference I run a 255/40/17 on my 17x10's and there is only a small amount of stretch.

Gotcha. and here are the specs just to make sure before I shop around

Front: 17 inches, +48 offset, 7.5 wide
Rear: 17 inches, +55 offset, 8.5 wide

starting to get nervous due to me stupidly not researching hub information.. if I try to test fit them on the car, it would be obvious if they fit properly or not, right?

Thanks!!

Looks like both front and rear center bore sizes are a tad under 3 inches. Am I screwed?

I don’t think so. Oem fronts are 70.3 mm which is about 2.75 inches. Should fit fine.

Id honestly just do oem ap2 tire sizes on those.

rears are 64mm though. Wouldn’t that be to much of a difference? And I’ll swing by the local tire shops tomorrow for some quotes!

You can always run hub rings. I'd run the OEM AP2 tire sizes as well. People seem to like Firestone Indy 500 & they're cheap too.
