Can someone explain wheel offsets to me? sorry i'm noobs with rims and wheels

It is basically the "offset" in millimeters from where the hub mounts on the wheel from the centerline that splits the width of the wheel. Positive offset means that the hub mount is closer to the outside of the rim. Check the Tirerack tech note.

Practically, get a rim with a low +ve offset or -ve offset and you will have wheels sticking out like a dune buggy.
