Default wheel question

Trying to buy wheels but don't know what size I should get.. PLEASE help

Here is what I'm trying to get!! Tell me if this is the correct size. (I want it so that the wheels won't scrape the inside of the car when I'm turning and I want the speedometer to work correctly after installation. The car will be lowered later on)

Front 18x8 with 225/40-18 tires
Rear 18x9 with 245/40-18 tires

Is this correct? This is the size and offsets used with Ro_Ja's S2000. But I noticed the veilside kit and since I don't and won't be getting a veilside kit I was wondering if it only worked with veilside kits. You know...since it comes with a wider flare and everything. HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPLICIATED AS WELL AS PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.

If you want those size wheels, you should go with 255/35-18 or 265/35-18 tires at the rear.
You should also be looking at offset around +54 front and +62 rear.

The tires you mention shouls be the 255/35R18 rear as the 245/40R18 would be taller and it would throw off the anti lock brakes. We have wheels listed on our web site that will work with this application.
Let me know if I can help.
Thank you

I'll tell you Thursday if they will fit and if they will rub. I have a set to be delivered then.

My offset is 48/55 which, according to everyone I can find running those sizes on the forum and Jim say will not rub.

I have only found one person who rubs with this set up and he is running the Kumho Victorracer. Is his tire bigger than the norm or is it a specific car problem?

DavidB, The race tires are wider with a more square shoulder.

Tuner,

I think his tire sizes are wrong for the car. I would do the 225/40R18 and 255/35R18. This keeps the diameter correct for the car. His sizes are .6" taller on the rear of the car.
Let me know if I can help.
Thank you

Thanx Dave B

I'll look forward to your experience. Please update me on how your wheels came out. If everything works fine (speedometer included) than please tell me what size wheels along with what size tires you've purchased.

Jim

Thanx!! If you can provide more info (detailed info) about wheels (of my choice) or wheels and general it'll be greatly appriciated. Thanks again.

Thanks but I've looked and I can't find the wheels I want. I like wheels with decent amount of lip but without lugs going around. The SSR GT1z are rite but I think I have my heart set on the Ro_Jaz. Just need to know what size works best with which tires. Thanx though Jim
