Default wheel spacer question.

hello, s2ki.

i am planning on running ichiba 15mm wheel spacers with built in studs. my question is will the 15mm spacer clear the stock oem studs with out hitting the rim??
any input will help. thank you.

you'll need 25mm spacers to completely engulf the OE studs. IIRC, the stock studs protrude somewhere a little over 20mm from the brake disc....maybe 21 or 22mm, i can't remember. But If you want to use 15mm spacers, you need to make sure any rim you use will have around 7-10mm of clearance in the back pad.

here's 25mm spacers on the rear of my car (can't imagine fronts would be different).

OEM studs are definitely longer than 17mm. The reason you can probably run 17mm spacers is because your OEM wheels have a pocket to accept the 4-5mm of extra stud that protrudes past your spacer.

for those that don't have that extra pocket in the backpad of the wheel, you need to run a 25mm spacer.

yeah it sucks, either a big spacer or big $$$ for extended studs + new wheel bearings so you can use a smaller spacer. Good luck with your decision.
