Default Wheel and tire choice for a Gen 2 CRV?

So I'm getting close to buying new tires for my 2004 CR-V with a manual transmission. Its in good shape, reliable and I figure on keeping it till the wheels fall off. I've always disliked the 15 inch wheels on this year with the limited tire choices in the pie cutter 205/70 sizing. My girlfriend has nicknamed the car "squeeks" because I'm always squealing the tires, especially after driving the S. I always wished i had the 16" wheels from the 2005-06 models but I am also considering the 17" wheels from a 2011ish model. So I guess this is a survey of sorts.
A) Get the 16" to retain the original look from the generation while slightly upgrading tire size and choice.
B) Get 17" from 2011 model to really improve tire performance and choice.
C) Get a grip man, its a fricken 2004 beater CR-V.

Just drive it like its a 2004 CRV and enjoy the more comfortable sidewall that results from the 15’s.

I like that option as well. Keeps most of the sidewall confort while filling out the wheel wells better. Plus I can get them pretty cheap used on Ebay. Maybe $400 to piece together a set of 5.
