Question Falken Pro G5 Sport A/S vs. Barum Bravuris 5HM

I had 2 of each these tires on my car, Falken in the front since 2016 and Barum in the back since 2018 and it's time I get some new ones, especially for the back. They have the same ratings but Barum is cheaper, $91 vs $137. According to the guys at Discount Tire I would mainly be paying for the Falken name. Barum is made by Continental and served me pretty well on the back of my car the last 3 years, about 21,000 miles. I'm torn between spending more money to go with 4 new Falkens which was normally my go to in the past, versus going with all 4 Barum this time. I live in San Diego and don't really race my car but I definitely enjoy driving it fast at times and more so just want a smooth and safe ride. Any thoughts or comparable recommendations will be much appreciated. I'm a girl who bought my s2000 brand new in 2006. I do take really good care of it and love it so I don't plan on getting rid of it but know nothing about tires and can use the advice. Thanks in advance!

I wouldn’t use either tire on my car, but if the Barum has worked for you to this point, why spend the extra?

Sure. What's the reason behind your recommendation?

Honestly I'll take any recommendations for other tires if someone feels strongly about other ones I should try, especially ones that offer a good smooth ride. I'm only using Falken because that's the brand I used to use on my Civics a long time ago and really didn't know to go with anything else and the Barium are what I ended up with as a replacement one time when the Falkens were not available but I'm open to any and all suggestions. I just want something that will last a good bit, provide a smooth ride and aren't too crazy expensive so please any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

It doesn't seem like you're looking for the same thing from your car that most here are. If you're happy with what you've got, I don't see switching to something expensive and sporty being a huge benefit for you.

I use www.TireRack.com. They have filter and review that are helpful.
For example Touring vs Performances, prices, closeouts

Thanks All! I used the reviews on tirerack.com and decided to go with the MICHELINPILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4. Hopefully I will be very satisfied with them!
