Wheel & Tire Sizes
I am looking to purchase new rims for my S2000 year 2000. I would like to up the size to at least 17" but am not sure if it would be advised to go 18". Does anyone know what the appropriate rim and tire sizes are if I were to change sizes? Is it necessary to have a stagger or can I put same size on both the front and back (i.e. 225/45/17)? I am not too familiar with wheel & tire issues so I would appreciate the advice. Thanks.
It really depends on the wheel size and offset you use. I normally see 225/45R17 front and either 245/40R17 or 255/40R17 rear. The 18" would be 225/40R8 and 255/35R18 rear. If I can help let me know.
Thank you

You should have different front and rear widths, but it is not necessary if you can still run staggered tires. As for offset, it should be in the 50's. You can go into the high 40's for an 18" wheel, but it is not advisable.
