Wheel/Tyre Size Help Please
Hi all,
I've seen the wheel fitment guide and its really useful, thanks.
I'm looking to get some 17" wheels on my AP1... at the moment, the wheel I want to go for is available in 8" and 9" width.
I was going to get the 8" on the front and 9" on the rear to maintain a bit of a stagger.
Has anyone got the same... 8" front 9" rear on 17's? ... will that be ok?
I'd like to keep the rolling radius the same, so what tyre size do I need front and rear please? How do you work this info out?
Also, what offset would I need front and rear to avoid rubbing and keep the car as close to standard offset/handling as possible please?
Thanks in advance... any help offered, greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info emil.
Is your rolling radius the same as stock?
I was worried about the fronts being 8" but good to know you have no rubbing etc.
I need to find out what tyre size I need for 9" only now haha

No math required, there is already an OEM fitment in 17" on AP2. Sizes are 7" +55 with 215/45 front and 8.5" +65 rear with 245/40. It seems like that is a good place to start.
If you want to crunch some number, use a calculator like this: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.do
Offset is important. If you run a lower offset than stock, in the 40's is very common, then you will need to do some fender work as the wheels will be more flush with the body. Our car comes with a high offset stock, very hard to find similar fitment in the aftermarket. You probably would be better off just getting OEM 17" wheels.
