Default Wheels Offset

I've been reading about the offset but I still dont get it. I'm planning to get 17's TE37 on my car but I dont get the offset on how they work. Is there also a setup where it sits at stock height and wont rub. I know it wont look as good as lowering them but I think I might do that in the future. Anyone care to explain me a better example on how offset work and which offset works with what tires/ height. My first time shopping for wheels its more complicated then just buying a set and put them on lol.

These questions are all answered in this thread. Plus it will give you a better understanding of what everything means.

General guideline, go with +50 or higher offset. Good example would be 17x7.5 +50 and 17x9 +63. I think those are the popular specs for a set of Volk wheels.

Go to will they fit and punch in different specs. Volk makes an s2000 specific set that is the same as the oem specs. Basically if you want wider or lower offset you need to do fender work and how extreme that is depends on the wheel specs.
