Why doesn't TireRack have any test data on Comp Tires?
Im really trying to research the Trofeo R vs the RA1 and other tires of the sort, and there seems to be a considerable lack of data all around. I really value the testing TireRack does, but it seems that they dont have any empirical data on any comp tires. Is there just not a market for it regarding the average consumer and customer of TR? Any other definitive (non-opinionated or limited scope of testing) sources out there for comp tires?
They type of tire testing TireRack does will not tell you much about R-comp tires. They use a short little track.
Just Google it...but, you probably won't find much objective testing out there as most teams that run these types of tires just try them and check lap times and handling characteristics which can be different for each car it's on.
Check Grassroots Motorsports magazine and try some european mags as well.
