Default will 18"x7.5" +42 or +45 offset fit on a 2002 s2k?

hey guys I am just wondering if a 18 x 7.5 with a 42mm or a 45 mm offset will fit on 2002 s2000. I found a great deal on a set of rims and I would hate to pass it up. Will there be any rubbing issues if it is dropped 1". Your feedback is highly appreciated, thanx in advance.

The wheel will probably stick out and rub into the fendor on bumbs on stock springs. God only knows how bad it would be lowered. If you do a little research you're probably going to want +48 or more.

a 45 will fit. Search 'konig holes' on the boards. I beliebe a member fit something like 215 wheels on 45+ rims and it fit fine even with a drop.

Ya but I'd think you'd want at least a minium 225 on a 7.5 rim. Do a search on the board Rev, there's lots of good info on this topic.

18 x 7.5 with a 42mm offset running 235 tires in the rear will rub. If you decide run rims like these, your car may feel more unstable and the handling will be decreased. I have done this before.

Those are some pretty nice wheels. What is the price that you will purchasing them for? The site lists the set of wheels in 18 x 7.5 for $1490 for the set. If you add just a little money up top of that, you can get a great set of Volk wheels with good offsets for the S2000 from Evolution or any of the other board sponsors.

At that kind of offset the 235 will stick out in the rear.

there are actually lots of members with similar specs.
http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...t=konig+imagine this members has the konig imagines (+45) he ran 225/40 all around.

This member http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...t=konig+imagine even has 235 in the back with the same +45 offsets. He even lowered his car with H and R springs. And quoting him "rubbing is minimal".

You'll be fine with a +45 offset. But if you plan to lower it, you'll need a pretty stiff suspension set up and or rolled fenders to avoid rubbing.

This guy is running +40 up front and +42 in rear on:

17X7 225/45/17
17X8 245/40/17

He says, there was rubbing until he rolled the fenders. Now he uses the car for Drift events with no rubbing at all.
