Default Will I Diminish the value

So I have Advans RG1s currently on the car. Their white with a blue lip. My question is would I greatly diminish the value of these rims if I took them to have the lip powder coated red to match with my car?

Depends on the condition of the wheels now. If they are in great original condition, I would say yes, as it's a rare wheel now.

No don't do it. Matchy matchy is good sometimes but depending the wheel, it plays its own charater. It's too rare and valuable and irreplaceble from Advan.

Unless you're trying to refinish it to its original state, I would say no. If you ever plan on selling the wheels later it will turn off a lot of buyers. If you plan on just keeping them and don't care about resale then go ahead.

Personally though I think it would just look bad.

If you want to get rid of them let me know. I'm looking for another set of wheels to roll around on. (I'm local)

There in GREAT condition but I would like to match the lip of the rim to the color of the car. I'll keep in mind what most of you have said but I've seen it on the forum before where members have powder coated their rims a different color and sold them. I'm going to throw it out there BUT could I powder coat the lip red and when I plan on selling (IF I EVER SELL THEM) just powder coat them back to blue?

GOY I don't plan on selling them. For what I would get from them granted their rare wouldn't be enough to help me out with Volks or BBS with tires. I just wanted some members thoughts of if I did go down the route of powder coating them. Thanks guys.

I think I'll do what bouford told me to do which is take some red tape put it around the lip and step back and see what I think of it.
