Will they fit?
I have a set of 18" wheels (7.5" front and 8.5" rear) and have decided to 'up' size tyres going from 215/40/18 to 225/40/18 in front and from 245/35/18 to 255/35/18 in the rear. The reasons are plentiful but mostly down to these sizes being more commonly available and so cheaper (the rears for example in current size are around £30 each more than the new size) Now this wasn't just done on a 'wim' I had thoroughly checked (on several websites - http://www.tyres-pne...nce-advice.html and apps) before proceeding with this that they would fit on the wheels.
It is my understanding that the tyres widths will both go up 10mm and the diameter will increase as follows:
front = 8mm (approx 1.3%) rear = 7mm (approx 1.1%) I just wanted people opinions on whether this is both safe and can be done.
I have coilovers fitted and an arch roller if needed so rubbing etc shouldn't be an issue as ride height/arches can be altered. I just wanted to check that the tyres will physically fit the wheels.
Thanks in advance

The sizes of the wheels and tires are correct but you do not mention the offset of the wheels. Too low of an offset and they will rub on the fenders and too high they will hit on the inside. Be careful to check.
I have had these wheels fitted previously, with lower tyre size (215 front and 245 rear) I had no problem with this fitment. My biggest concern was that the tyre would actually fit on the wheel. Unfortunately I don't know the offset as never checked because wheels fitted ok.
I suppose without knowing the offset there is no way to check fitment. That being said I have coilovers fitted and an arch roller if required.
Thanks
