Default Winter tire size stagger

So I've been running 205/55/16 blizzaks on the ap1 wheels for the last 2 winters and they've been great on my 06. My rears are done after 2 winters, and I have no complaints about the performance of them. My only issue lies purely on aesthetics, as with 205/55's on the rear and front, it makes the rear tires look so small compared to the front. I'm curious if there's anything I could do about it without sacrificing performance too much.

I see for the Blizzak W80 there are 215/55's available, would those be too tall causing ABS problems with 205/55's in the front? Would it even make much of a difference in how big the tire looks on the wheel?

Suggestions?

Why not go with ap1 sizes? I run 205/55/16 & 225/50/16 on my car.

I'd love to but bridgestone doesn't offer their blizzaks in the 225/50 size. Haven't been able to find any good snow tires in that size actually.

I'd consider the Pirelli's and selling the front Blizzak's. The Pirelli's are probably more performance oriented though.

Just run 205/55 front and rear.

I run 235/45-17 and 245/45-17 on my '06 and my car drives very good, you have to be pushing it hard in the turns to make the VSA take over. You will not have any ABS problems, but your VSA will work a little sooner(and you can turn that off if or when you want to have some fun in the snow).
The Firestone Winterforce is about $34 cheaper per tire and it has good reviews.

If I had to run winter tires I'd first look at 215/55-16 square on the S.

appreciate the feedback everyone. I guess my main goal is to avoid having to replace my front 205/55's if possible considering they still have plenty of life left in them. So ultimately I'd still like to know for sure if running a 215/55/16 in the back will cause any issues with a 205/55 in the front. It doesn't seem to me that it'd be any taller right?

It's within the 3% variance but in this case I would probably go with a square setup. Message Jim from the TR to ask for his advice.
