It's really good actually, I haven't had any issues, and the last two winters have been brutally bad. Also live in the sticks, so lots of back roads that get plowed very late, and it handles amazingly. Very predictable, and always feel confident even in deep snow. I do like having VSA in some situations, but it rarely has to kick in, and I actually drive with it off in most situations, think it's just more of a comfort thing.

Also have an insanely steep long drive way that fwd and awd cars struggle to climb when it snows, but the s2000 hasn't had a problem getting up once. I can even stop in the middle of it and climb up with almost no slipping, where they need a running start. It's all in the tires in my experience. My only issues are the paint chips are much more frequent during the winter on the front bumper. Haven't had any issues with rust, was just under the car the other day, and it still shocks me how clean it is.

more power to you for dding your car during winter. I just moved here from cali last year and finally got my s2000 shipped back in august. i was debating about giving it a shot in winter since I have a set of winter wheels for the wrx i can swap over with some spacers. I might just give it a shot to see how the car does.

Running the 205/215 will work just fine on the S, but I would go to 215/55 up front "WHEN" your 205's wear out. No need to get rid of good tires before they wear out.

S2000 with some good snow tires is good to go. Last winter I went up a hill after the 2 SUVs in front of me backed up because they couldn't make it. They just looked at me with their mouths hanging open. No wheel spin, no skidding.

Best winter tires in my experience are Blizzaks or Dunlop WinterSport. Looking into trying some Nokians.

I have some ap2v2 rims for my 08 and I'm gonna run 205/50/17s front and 225/45/17s rear WS80s.

With winter tires on the car the snow is not an issue. Ground clearance can be tough sometimes. I agree with the Blizzaks. They are the best I have driven on.
If I can help with the tires let me know.
